The most common style you will find on the market have an Etruscan revival design that was in vogue during the later part of the 19th century. ITEM # 2229-3400 18k Antique Pietra Dura Locket Pendant & Earring Set.
DESCRIPTION: A very rare and highly sought after Victorian Pietra Dura demi parure. Possibly acquired in Italy during 'the grand tour' in the 1850's - 1860's. Pietra dura is a hard stone inlay crafted in Florence inlaid with materials such as jasper, bloodstone, coral and ivory, natural color grading gives a 3 dimensional look. The set is very high quality, in 18k yellow gold with intricate wire work embellishments. The pendant is very large and has a glazed locket compartment on the reverse. The compartment does not contain a picture but has a material backing and a beveled glass window. It measures 2 3/4" including bail by 1 1/2" at the widest point, the Pietra Dura tablet is 1 1/2" x 1 1/8". In very good condition with the exception of a new 18k bail. The bail is custom made an a good match possibly a close copy of the original one. The frame was cleaned and polished at the time of bail replacement so the gold would match. There is one hair line surface crack on the right side, it very slight and does not go through the stone.
The earrings are also 18k gold but have been converted to screw backs that are gold filled. These can be removed if desired and restored to pierced. The gold has not been cleaned or polished on the earrings and the frames have oxidation on them. The earrings are also in very good condition with no cracks or crazes to the Pietra Dura. A stunning set!

ITEM # 1218-770 14k Victorian Bohemian Garnet Earrings.
DESCRIPTION: A spectacular pair of Bohemian Garnet stud earrings. Having an 8 mm center stone surrounded by (8) 4 mm Deep red Pyrope Garnets prong set with a closed backing. The Garnets are faceted in a high domed Holland rose cut. Originally the studs appear to have been part of a pair of dangles possibly and have since had 14k screw backs soldered on. There is no marking on the setting itself which has been tested and is either low karat gold or brass. The screw backs are stamped 14k. Measures 9/16" in diameter. The condition is very good.

ITEM # 1484-110 14k Victorian Etruscan Revival Stud Earrings.
DESCRIPTION: This pair of earrings features intricate Etruscan revival wire work and granulation. Although small the wire work is wonderful. There is no marking on the setting itself which has tested to be 14k. The screw backs have been added on at a later date and are gold filled, they can be converted to pierce if so desired. Measures 1/2" in diameter. The condition is excellent.
