International Orders

.....are welcome and will be shipped by the following methods: USPS Air Mail small packet, USPS Priority International (this the only method of shipment to some countries) or EMS - Express International. If your country is not on our list, just let us know and we will add it. Overseas customers who select to have a gift receipt mailed with their order are not exempt from customs fees. We will enclose an itemized price-less receipt however the shipment will still be insured and customs forms will be filed based on the shipment's total.

  • Purchaser is responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from jansjewells.com, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. 

  • International shipments under $1,000.00, will only contain the required documentation of an Invoice, Commercial Invoice (aka CI) which is the enclosed receipt and the Electronic Export Information (EEI) on the shipping label. 

  • International commercial/personal shipments that are eligible for under NAFTA or FTA free trade agreement for items we sell that are stated Made in the USA only: It is the purchasers responsibility to request a Certificate of Origin form if they are eligible in their country and want tariff reductions or exemptions. We are not exporters and only offer international shipping as a convenience, therefore we are not familiar with any destination countries outside the United States for required forms, customs fees, duties or additional tariff's collected at time of delivery to destination countries outside the United States. 

  • It is the buyers responsibily to check their country's customs office to determine what, if any, additional fees will be applied prior to buying. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping fee and willevied once a shipment reaches its destination. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Refused or returned international shipments will not be eligible for a refund on shipping charges.

  • Canadian customers can use http://www.thefinalcost.com to help calculate taxes, duties and brokerage fees. Disclaimer: This calculator only gives an estimate of the total cost of importing an item from the USA into Canada. You should double check with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to make sure there are no additional fees. We are not responsible for discrepancies between the estimate and the actual total cost as the CBSA is the authority on calculating the actual costs.

Most countries have allowances for personal shipments within a certain value, or certain item quantity. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. 

To help determine the import duty, first confirm your product Harmonized System (HS)/Schedule B number. This HS number can then be referenced against specific your country’s tariff schedule. Major shippers should have this information available or the destination countries Customs Department web site. Please note that only a licensed Customs broker or foreign customs are permitted to make a definitive classification determination.
